Application

Basic: you submit it yourselves with our step-by-step guide – both of you must complete your part within 14 days. Premium: we submit it for you with a power of attorney signed by both of you.

Decision and ceremony

The Danish Agency of Family Law decides. Complete applications are usually decided within 5 working days (their estimate, not our promise). The approval is valid for 4 months for one municipality, where you book your ceremony – with Premium we request the time for you.

Our team includes former employees of Danish authorities, so we know what a complete application looks like. The authorities make the decisions, and we have no influence on them.

We are a private service company – not an authority, a municipality or a law firm – and we do not give legal advice.

Premium approval guarantee

If the Danish Agency of Family Law rejects an application we submitted for you with Premium, we refund the price you paid us minus the authorities' fee of DKK 2,100, which the authority does not refund. We pay the refund within 14 days of receiving the decision, to the card you paid with.

The guarantee does not cover a rejection caused by:

information or documents from you that were wrong, incomplete, false or withheld, including changes you did not tell us about, for example a permit that expired;
your not answering the authority's questions within its deadline, or withdrawing the application;
the authority's assessment that the marriage is not genuine or would be unlawful;
an application you asked us to submit against our written advice.

With Basic there is no approval guarantee. Full terms: section 5 of our Terms and Conditions.

Extras, paid separately

Certified translation of documents. The price is confirmed in writing before you pay.
Moving an approved case to another municipality: DKK 1,500.

Not included

Witnesses (you bring two yourselves, or the municipality provides them where possible), apostilles, visas, travel, accommodation, wedding planning and legal advice. We do not offer express processing.
